BENEFITS OF MEMBERSHIP
We're Stonger Together
Second Harvest values the dedicated efforts of our partner programs to provide nutritional support to children, families, seniors, and others in their local communities. We want to help.
Together, we can provide the food assistance that neighbors need today, as we address root causes of food insecurity in our communities through raising awareness, collaborating, and advocating.
Stewardship
Partnering with Second Harvest saves local food assistance programs millions of dollars each year.
Variety
Partner programs have access to a wide variety of quality food items donated by the retail grocery industry.
Capacity Building
Second Harvest offers annual grants and on-going training opportunities for partners, as well as support for your program's advocacy efforts.
Rural Delivery
Partner agencies located more remote regions of our service area may be able to utilize our Rural Delivery Program.

What Happens After You Hit Submit?
-
Our Partnerships & Impact staff will review your request and follow up with you. If certain preliminary eligibility requirements are met, we will send your organization a Partner Agency Application.
-
Your organization submits a Partner Agency Application and other required documentation to the Second Harvest Food Bank.
-
Our Partnerships & Impact staff reviews the application and contacts your organization to clarify any questions and/or to arrange an on-site visit to the program location.
-
Following a successful on-site visit, selected staff from your organization, including the Director and those most closely involved with the food assistance program, will be required to attend an orientation session at the Second Harvest Food Bank. Sessions are held every third Wednesday from 10 a.m.-noon.
The application process takes a minimum of 6-8 weeks, but can vary depending on how soon we receive the application documentation, how quickly we can schedule a visit to your organization, and the availability of your agency representatives to attend an orientation session.
